Stuart Southern
CEO, Owner
Stuart grew up in a small forested village in Germany where he discovered his love of the outdoors. At age 20, he joined the U.S. Army and shortly after deployed to Iraq in 2006. After his military career, he began studies at Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida while working for the DoD (Department of Defense) for 7 years. Upon graduation, he accepted a job with Boeing, so he moved to the Phoenix area; here, he met his wife, with whom he created a naturopathic medical clinic, Nascent Health.
Stemming from his own lifelong battle with hypothyroidism, his passion for alternative medicine has him completely immersed in the constantly evolving and progressive world of natural therapies. As a Veteran, he is very passionate about helping Veterans and first responders find their path back to a healthier way of living. He is also the cofounder of “Vitality for Veterans”, a nonprofit that provides Veterans naturopathic and alternative medical care.
In Stuart’s free time, he loves family time, but especially boating and fishing with his service dog, Gus.

Alexis joined Nascent Health in March 2025, bringing with her a strong background in customer service and a genuine passion for helping others. Originally from Oregon, where she lived all her life until relocating to Arizona in June 2023. She earned her associate degree from Portland Community College in 2023 and is planning to return to school in the future to continue her professional development.
Alexis is committed to making people feel their best through supportive and compassionate care. With a dedication to working with people, Alexis values teamwork, empathy, and creating positive experiences for everyone.
Outside of work, Alexis enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and playing with her dog, Kona.
Morgan Dombroski
Back Office & Patient Coordinator
Morgan was born and raised in California but has lived in Arizona for 10 years. She received her Associate’s degree from Scottsdale Community College in 2017, and graduated from NAU in 2018 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has also been a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association since 2019. She has 15 years in the medical field, starting as a phlebotomist and then working her way to a CNA before becoming an RN in 2017.
Morgan began her career as an RN at St. Joesph’s Hospital & Medical Center on the Acute Neuro/Telemetry unit then transferred to the Medical Surgical & Telemetry Float Pool, where she gained experience on many different units in the hospital.
Morgan’s goal as an RN is to help patients maximize their well-being by taking healthful action in every area of their life. Her primary concern is to cultivate a professional environment where each patient feels comfortable, receives focused attention, and is given exceptional care.
In her free time, Morgan loves traveling to new places, doing hot yoga, hiking, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her husband and her two beautiful children and their dogs Leelo and Koufax. Her favorite memories are camping with her family in Idaho, swimming in the lake, and telling stories around the campfire.
Hailey Adamson

Hailey, a Gilbert, Arizona native, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design with a focus on Website Development from Southern New Hampshire University in 2023. Hailey has a passion for creating content for Nascent’s website and Youtube. In her free time, Hailey enjoys quality moments with her husband and daughter, shopping with her mom, and visiting her family’s cabin up north. She is a fan of a good thriller, whether its a book or movie, and loves diving into creative projects.

Dr. Ashley Southern (neé Stein) is a Board Certified Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD) in Arizona. She earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, with Honors in Pain Management and Regenerative Medicine at the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Jessi Bramstedt, NMD, earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in 2005. She is dedicated to addressing the root causes of illnesses rather than merely alleviating symptoms.

Ruth Allison Dana, NMD is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor in Arizona. She received her doctorate at Bastyr University, the premier institute for research-based naturopathic medicine, in San Diego, California, and went on to complete a CNME accredited residency in Washington state.

Mandi Coatsworth
Office Manager
Mandi is a California native who moved to Arizona with her husband in 2020 and joined the Nascent Health Team in early 2023. With many years of experience as a Medical Front Office Specialist and over twenty years in Customer Relations, Mandi has become adept at providing high-quality patient service and care.
Mandi is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her excellent people skills, positive attitude, and energy to ensure our patients’ needs are met.
Whether at the front, scheduling appointments, or assisting patients with doctor questions, she always makes herself available.
Mandi enjoys going to wine festivals and food tasting, hiking, concerts, spending time with her family, and taking her dogs Cannoli and Dior on new adventures. Giving back to her community by volunteering and bringing smiles to people’s faces brings her the most joy!

Emma Krehbiel
Front Desk & Patient Liaison
Emma was born in Oklahoma where she lived for 19 years before moving to California in 2019. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2023. Emma moved to Phoenix in early 2024 and joined the Nascent Health Team in April. Emma became interested in naturopathic medicine in college where she worked at a superfood smoothie and supplement store. Along with this, she worked in various Customer Relations positions throughout her four years at Pepperdine. Her degree in Psychology and experience in Customer Relations has equipped her to provide positive care to all patients and ensure all needs are met with high-quality service.
In her free time, Emma loves spending time with her friends and family, being outside in the sun whether it be swimming, hiking, or sunbathing with a podcast or music, going to the gym, trying new food, and finding the next adrenaline boost!
